Experience the magic of music and animals as the Richard Bonynge Ensemble and Glenbrook Ballet Theatre bring Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals and Bach’s Concerto for Four Pianos to life on stage in this special family-friendly concert.

After the show you can get up close to the instruments and discover how they make the animal sounds, from the majestic lions to the dancing elephant and braying mules.

Get into the spirit and come dressed up as your favourite animal!

Wander through the remnant cool temperate Rainforest and be amazed by the towering coachwood, sassafras and tangled vines. Discover the magical and intriguing world of mosses and liver warts and what they need to survive, before creating your own unique rainforest in a jar.

Trish & Pog are two artistic women who are a powerhouse of creativity and energy. We have a unique combination of skills and experience which we are excited to share with our community.

We have seven workshops in the school holidays from which to choose – Spring Lanterns, Paddle Boats, Fairy Rings & Bird Feeders for ages 6-12yrs, and Mandalas, Card & Mask Making for teens-adults.

Red Wattlebird Studio and Art and Mind Therapy are two businesses, working co-operatively and based in the Blue Mountains & Hawksbury-Nepean region.

CERAMIC PAINTING CLASSES FOR ALL AGES!
PAINT, DECORATE AND FIRE YOUR NEW CREATION THIS SPRING

Gallery NWC offers ceramic painting classes suitable for all ages! Prices include any one ceramic item to paint and decorate. All glazes and equipment are provided. If you finish quickly, you are welcome to paint a second ceramic item for $15. Prices include firing your ceramic item.

PLEASE NOTE – Our Tuesday and Wednesday programs can only run with a minimum of 5 participants, so encourage a friend or two to sign up with you! Refreshments will be provided (poppa, popcorn & fruit).
If you have made a booking enquiry, you will be notified ahead of time if the class is unable to run.

Our Friday evening classes are available for walk-ins, but please come to the Gallery by 5pm to ensure your space (bookings are ideal). Additionally, adults are welcome to BYO to Friday evenings, and nibbles will be provided.

Gallery NWC is a child-safe premises & we have an accessibility document for interested parties.

Norman Lindsay Gallery comes alive with a special day of family-friendly experiences celebrating the beloved children’s book, The Magic Pudding.

Join us for special day of celebration at Springwood’s Norman Lindsay Gallery, home of The Magic Pudding, a whimsical children’s book written by Norman Lindsay in 1917.

A charming day out for children and adults alike, Magic Pudding Day offers an array of activities including crafts, a pudding trail, face painting and a scrumptious ‘The Great Norman Lindsay Bake Off’ pudding competition to be judged by Jodie Van der Velden from Josophans Chocolates.

To enter the competition, please pre-register via Eventbrite and bring your creation to Norman Lindsay Gallery at 11am, ensuring it meets the theme of The Magic Pudding. Winners will be announced at 12:30pm.

Tickets include entry to the gallery and grounds. Head inside to view the new exhibition and step into the original painting studio where Norman created his famous art and The Magic Pudding. Pack a picnic to enjoy in the lovely heritage gardens, snap a family shot with our own Magic Pudding or under the show-stopping spring wisteria arbour, and take a short scenic bushwalk to make the most of the stunning views across the Grose Valley.

Free Guided Tours of the property will run at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

Embark on a delightful adventure this Spring School Holidays with Wascoe Siding Miniature Trains! Riding these pint-sized trains offers a captivating experience for all ages. Bring your family and friends to create cherished memories at the historic Wascoe Siding Minature Railway, Blaxland. There’s no need to book – just turn up on the day for all of the fun!

When: Sunday 6 October, 2024. Wascoe Siding miniature-railway runs on the first Sunday of the month from February to December, 10am – 3pm.

Everyone! Young children will need to ride with an adult.
