Glenbrook Pool Facilities

The is something for everyone at Glenbrook Swim Centre. There are classes for all stages of life and the excellent range of facilities makes for a great day out for the whole family. Pricing is reasonable, pools are heated (so the kids actually enjoy staying in the pool and you get fewer complaints about wanting to go home!) and you can even host birthday parties here!

All Of The Pools Are Heated

Glenbrook Pool is a favourite spot for local Blue Mountains families as it serves the needs of children of all ages. The pools are heated so that you can continue lessons during the colder months in their heated enclosed program pool (with ramp access). The 50-metre pool is also heated (not quite as warm as the enclosed pool) and available during colder months in the mornings.

Children’s Playground

Glenbrook Swim Centre provides lessons from infant aquatics classes to adult swimming lessons.

The Learn to Swim Program at Glenbrook Pool is a competency-based program. Children may progress from a Seahorse (approximately from 2 – 3 years old), Penguin (approximately preschool age), Seal (school age), Frog, Dolphin, Shark and Stroke classes. To progress from a Seal to a Frog a child should be able to swim 25 metres. To move on from a Frog to a Dolphin a child needs to be able to swim 50 metres. To advance to a Shark, he or she should be able to swim 100 metres.

Stroke development classes are also offered to fine-tune one’s swimming technique. This is great for competitive swimmers or anyone wishing to improve their proficiency in the various swimming strokes.

Birthday Parties at Glenbrook Pool

Children aged 6 and over may like to celebrate their birthday at Glenbrook Pool! There is no cost to host your party here – you simply need to provide a list of names to the office so that they can check each child in and you just pay for each child that turns up on the day. Numbers for your party are limited to whatever COVID guidelines are for outdoor gatherings.

You may also book a table at Glenbrook Pool for your group. It will cost $20.20 to book a table for the duration of your party (accurate at the time of writing October 2020). That way, you will be sure to have space to cut your cake and set up food and drinks for your hungry and thirsty gang.

Prices are very reasonable considering that it is very expensive to maintain a swimming pool at home. Swimming in the school holidays is such a lovely family activity, especially on those very hot days! It is also wonderful to meet up with friends, sometimes unexpectantly, and make swimming a social event too.

Always remember to watch your children closely at all times at the pool. Here are some important guidelines for keeping watch at public pools.
