Livvi's Place Warragamba entrance

Livvi’s Place Warragamba is a wonderful fully fenced, inclusive playground that is designed to ignite children’s imaginations, create opportunities for social engagement and help kids to maintain an active lifestyle through play.

This terrific play space is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains in Western Sydney and is worth a visit for a new and exciting playground experience.

What We Love About Livvi’s Place Warragamba

Livvi's Place Warragamba play equipment

Livvi’s Place Warragamba (view map) was officially opened in November 2019. It is a spacious, fully fenced playground with a range of interesting and fun equipment that stimulates the imagination and engages the senses. Here are some of the highlights from our visit to Livvi’s Place Warragamba:

The Path

The concrete path that loops and winds through the playground is useful for wheelchairs, prams, walkers, bikes and scooters. It is especially great for children learning to ride a bike as it is very flat.

Water Play

What a fantastic addition to any playground! The water play area is a combination of four water play trays with a pump and spinner, as well as gates to allow the water through down a pebbled creek.

There are also three tall sprinklers for extra splashing fun on warm days (they were under repair when we visited).

Be sure to pack a change of clothes when you visit in case they enjoy the water play a little too much! Otherwise, be prepared with swimmers and towels.

Barbecues and Sheltered Picnic Tables

Pack lunch and enjoy a day out at Livvi’s Place Warragamba! The barbecues are free to use and make for a lovely meal out with family and friends.

Climbing Frame

The large climbing frame at Livvi’s Place Warragamba is suitable for older children who enjoy a challenge. It’s great for physical fitness as well as socialising with other children.

Imaginative Play Equipment

One of our favourite things about Livvi’s Place Warragamba is how it lends itself to imaginative play. Children enjoy crawling through, climbing over and pretending to ride the train and driving the four wheel drive rider.

Sensory Equipment

Scattered throughout Livvi’s Place Warragamba is a range of interactive sensory equipment. For sensory seekers, the music, lights, trampoline, textures and water will give their bodies and minds the input that they need, helping kids to feel calm and happy.

Seating

There is always somewhere for you to sit and watch your children play at Livvi’s Place Warragamba. Plenty of seating options are provided – from sheltered picnic tables to wooden park benches.

You may even like to bring a picnic blanket to relax in one of the grassed areas.

The Variety of Equipment

Tips For Your Visit

  • Pack a hat, plenty of water and sunscreen. Whilst there is some shade, much of the playground is uncovered.
  • Bring food. There are a few stores across the road though, including a gelato shop.
  • Pack a spare change of clothes in case of water play.
  • There is an accessible toilet block located up the back of the playground, within the fencing, which is very handy!
  • Bikes and scooters make a trip to this playground extra fun.

A Bit Of Background

Livvi's Place Warragamba sign

Livvi’s Place playground was created thoughtfully by the Wollondilly Council, the ‘Touched By Olivia‘ Foundation, the community and Federal and State Governments.

Livvi’s Place Warragamba is designed to allow ALL children, including anyone with a disability, to enjoy playing and socialising at the park.

Touched By Olivia’s central mandates are to:

  • Give every Australian the right to play, side by side, without discrimination or prejudice; and
  • Facilitate social and community inclusion for people with disability as well as their families and carers.

Touched By Olivia is the beautiful legacy of a precious little girl named Olivia. Olivia Perkins passed away unexpectantly in November 2006 from a rare lymphatic disease at just 8 months old. Her grieving parents channeled their love and their grief to create a legacy for Olivia that changes the lives of so many Australian families, by creating Touched By Olivia.
