Sublime Point Lookout Leura received its name for good reason. It truly is one of the most sensational lookouts in the Blue Mountains. If you would like to view the Three Sisters without the crowds of Echo Point in Katoomba, then head to Sublime Point in Leura and see them from another angle.

What To Expect At Sublime Point Lookout Leura

From Sublime Point Lookout, you will be treated to panoramic views of the Jamison Valley, with the cliffs of Kings Tableland on your left, the back of the Three Sisters on your right and the knobbly arch of Mount Solitary in front.

Many locals and photographers enjoy capturing Mount Solitary of a morning when it awakens out of the mist and bushland below.

Many locals and visitors also enjoy a quiet picnic here, as there are a couple of wooden tables with seats to use, in addition to the under cover picnic area in the quaint green hut.

There are no toilet facilities here, unfortunately. Your closest facilities are at Leura Village.

Are Dogs Allowed?

Yes, dogs are welcome to Sublime Point Lookout, as it is located outside the border of Blue Mountains National Park.

How To Get There

Sublime Point Lookout is a very easy ‘there and back’ 175 metre stroll along a paved gently sloped footpath at the end of Sublime Point Road, Leura NSW.

At the end of the path, you will descend a small to medium stone staircase before arriving at the eliptical shaped lookout.

Your return walk will take about 10 minutes and only requires climbing one set of stairs to reach the main lookout.

The ground at Sublime Point Lookout is uneven, so please watch your step.

There is a dedicated parking area with accessible spaces.

Please follow all safety instructions at Sublime Point Lookout and do not climb the fences, no matter how tempting it may be to sit on the rock outside of the fence to enjoy the view. Sandstone erodes over time and may break away without warning.

Sublime Point Lookout Leura is one of the best lookouts in the Blue Mountains. You will be in awe at what you see, which is a 270 degree view of one of the world’s most beautiful and ancient landscapes.
