Play and Chat North Katoomba is run by Connect Child & Family Services for parents and carers of 0 – 5 year olds. At Play and Chat, parents and carers get together with their young children for a couple of hours each week to connect, learn through play and most importantly, have fun. Essentially, playgroup is one of the first, and most important social networks for children and families.

Play and Chat aims to:

Provide opportunities for creative, unstructured learning through play;
Build attachments between adults and children as they play together and share time and experiences;
Help children develop social skills as they learn to interact with others, take turns, share and make friends;
Provide experiences that enable them to manage stress and adapt to change;
Offer opportunities for children to explore, invent, reason and solve problems.You are most welcome to come along to North Katoomba Public School for Play and Chat each Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Please bring morning tea for your child, a drink and hat.
