The Anglican Parish of Blackheath warmly welcomes parents, carers and their children to meet together for Mainly Music on Thursday mornings from 10.30am during school terms.

What is Mainly Music?

Mainly Music is a fun music group run by volunteers at the Anglican Parish of Blackheath. Weekly sessions are full of songs and rhymes, actions and movement, designed to engage you and your child. They are designed for parents and caregivers to enjoy with their young child/ren from 0 – 5 years.

Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and parents will be treated to music and story, activity and interaction, structured and unstructured fun. Each session is designed for delight as you participate together. You’ll experience a rich learning environment.

The goal of Mainly Music is that you will find the session a safe and nurturing space where connection and interaction occurs.

Throughout the session, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language skills, they use their imagination, and develop mathematical and pre-reading skills.

At this music group, children socialise with other children, are introduced to music and creativity in a loving, shared family environment. Families are also given a chance to think about their Creator God.
