Lawson Musical Playground is possibly one of the tiniest playgrounds in the Blue Mountains, and it is easy to miss! When Lawson Village Green was upgraded in 2015 Blue Mountains City Council provided public amenities, shady spots to chillax, a ping pong table, and a musical playground!

How To Find Lawson Musical Playground

Located behind Lawson shops and adjacent to the Heatherbrae Community Centre, Lawson Musical Playground makes a charming meeting place or somewhere to stop and enjoy your morning coffee, while the kids play.

Lawson Musical Playground can be tricky to find because it has been designed to blend naturally into its environment. Park your car near Heatherbrae and YAWN and walk towards the road. You will find a small, wooden playground with circular seating and balance beams.

These bells all make a different note. Children love stomping on these and making their own music!

Sit under the tree and relax while the kids enjoy this sweet little space.

As simple as this playground appears from the outset, it is amazing how engaged children are with it. They love to balance, jump, follow one another and experiment with sound and they stomp on the various bells located around the circle. Then do it all over again!
