Research (by the Telethon Kids Institute) shows that children who attend playgroups during early childhood have significantly better child development when they start school.

Blackheath Playgroup is a partnership between Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre, Blackheath Public School and Thrive Services that provides opportunities for children to engage in regular, unstructured play where children can play in a safe environment with similar aged children on a regular basis.

Blackheath Playgroup aims to assist parents/ carers and their children to connect into the community and meet other parents and children in a supportive environment.
