Blue Mountains Explorer Bus is fantastic value and the best way to explore the Blue Mountains at your own pace. Kids ride FREE (0-17 years) when travelling with a paying parent or guardian and locals ride free too when travelling with a paying passenger!

If you’re staying in the Blue Mountains, your ticket can also be extended FREE for 3 days when staying in the Blue Mountains.

Blue Mountains Explorer Bus has been family owned and operated since 1974 and is Australia’s first 100% Carbon Neutral Tourism Operator. They have created a brand NEW Bus Route with 37 stops operating every 45 minutes between 9.15am and 5.30pm.

Your children will love riding up the top in this exciting, new hop-on/hop-off double-decker bus! It gives you and your family the freedom and flexibility to go where you want when you want and you’ll even get insider tips from your local driver for the best walks, the best spots to see waterfalls and spectacular views.

You do not need a car to explore the best of the Blue Mountains. With Blue Mountains Explorer Bus, you can plan your own tour and hop on and hop off all day, as many times as you like!

There are 37 locations to discover and the bus arrives at each stop every 45 minutes. You can even do the full bus tour in 90 minutes if your kids will enjoy a scenic bus ride around the upper Blue Mountains!

Open Weekends and Every Day During School Holidays!

Currently, Blue Mountains Explorer Buses are operating every SATURDAY and SUNDAY, and selected days during the NSW School Holidays. Please check their website for details. The first departure is at 9:15am and the last is at 4:00pm, returning at 5:30pm.

The Booking Office is open every SATURDAY and SUNDAY, and on certain days during the NSW School Holidays. Office hours are 9:00am to 1:30pm on these days.

Birthday Parties For Kids: Book Your Own Bus!

Outside of the Explorer Bus operating times, there is the option to BOOK YOUR OWN BUS for a private tour just for your family or friends, birthday parties or whatever you want.
